Prinnies are the souls of the dead who are working off their lives of sin either in the heavenly or infernal realms before they are able to reincarnate. Prinnies in heaven tend to have only committed minor sins during their life and pay off their negative karma via good deeds. Prinnies in Hell, on the other hand, are much more serious offenders. These hellbound Prinnies are assigned to various Demon Lords and work in menial, degrading jobs while earning a pittance of money. They must save up over time to buy their way into reincarnation. This is rather difficult when they still need to buy food and other necessities at extremely inflated costs.

Prinnies are, as a general rule, lazy good-for-nothings who would rather spend their days eating canned sardines over putting forth any real effort. Their tendency to explode and the cruelty of their demonic masters, however, tend to keep these nervous penguins busy.

Prinny Race

Pro: Prinnies are immune to non-magical disease, poison and fatigue. 
Con: Explode when thrown or hit for max damage, instant death and deal your remaining HP in Fire damage to all within 10′. Magical healing doesn’t function for you.

Prinny Class

If your character dies with net negative karma, they may elect to be reincarnated as a Prinny. As the Prinny is technically the property of a Demon Lord, the party must pay a fee to rent out the Prinny. While the Prinny levels up like other classes (Gold=XP), 90% of all the Prinny’s take is given to their patron Demon Lord while only 10% is left for the Prinny’s general use. Taking the Prinny Class replaces the Pros and Cons of the Prinny Race. A Prinny remembers everything from their previous life, but this tends to fade over their eons of servitude.

EXPLOSION: Your body is a 3′ tall cloth doll made to look like penguin and stuffed with gunpowder and your soul. If you are thrown or if you are hit with a crit, you explode as a Fireball with MD equal to your number of Prinny Templates. This kills you and probably angers the Demon that you were on loan from. 

Prinny Barrage: By leaping into the air and swinging your daggers furiously, you release waves of energy to deal damage to a target within 30′ of you. Roll attacks as normal and damage as dagger. This attack immediately draws attention to you. 

Puppet Body: You are immune to non-magical disease, poison and fatigue. Magical healing does not function for you. 

Prinny Dance: By spending a full combat turn dancing around a target, you may affect the target either as Sleep or Hold Person per the Wizard spells. These effects last as you continue to take no action other than dancing and are “cast” using MD equal to your number Prinny Templates.

Prinny Pack: Your leather satchel gives you an additional 3 Inventory slots.

Prinny Bomb: You create a bomb from some of the excess gunpowder that makes up your body. You can create 1 bomb a day assuming you’ve had a Long Rest. The Bombs can only be carried in the Prinny Pack and you can only carry 3 bombs at a time before they destabilize and explode. The Bombs, when removed from the pack, are large, obvious, and cartoonish black spheres with a painted skull and a distinct fuse. 

A bomb can be thrown to explode on impact as a 1 MD Fireball. A bomb (or multiple bombs) may have their fuses lit instead to have up to a minute delay. 

If you are caught in the radius of the explosion, you blow up per the EXPLOSION ability. 

Prinny Beam: Once per day by spending a full turn concentrating, you may fire a beam of concentrated energy directly from your soul. This acts per the Wizard Spell Prismatic Ray cast with 4 MD. If you roll triples, you explode per the EXPLOSION ability. 

Prinny Pack 2: Your Prinny Pack has 3 additional inventory slots. You can still only carry 3 Bombs at a time. 

Reincarnation: If a Prinny reaches Level 5, their soul is purified and they are reborn on the next Full Moon. Their Prinny body is left an empty sack and somewhere in the world a child is born with completely neutral karma.

Appearance: A skyscraper sized blue penguin with small bat wings, a fanny pack, and peg legs.
Wants: Multiversal domination
Armor: As Plate + Shield
Move: “Normal”, can cover several city blocks in a step.

Damage: Shard of Baal 6d6+6
Prinny Barrage: As class ability, able to target anything within two miles.
Prinny Dance: As class ability, affects out 600′ instead of a single adjacent target.
Prinny Bomb: As class ability, usable each turn
Prinny Beam: As class ability, usable each turn

This is actually the soul of a great Demon Tyrant that was defeated some time in the past. Though his remaining soul was stuffed into a Prinny suit, his power was too great to contain. Bloating to massive size and retaining much of his former power, Prinny Baal is currently sealed in the fabled Land of Carnage. He seeks a method of escape so that he may begin his reign of terror anew!

Prinny Magic Items

Scroll of Prinny Raid: Summons 1d6 Prinnies about 30 feet in the air. They explode for 1d6 damage each in random squares over a 60′ area. 
Prinny Costume: An empty prinny skin. Wearing it, even if it doesn’t fit well, Demons and Angels that see you Save vs. Intelligence (or Charm), on failure they are convinced that you are a Prinny. You are worthy of cruelty/pity but you are also low enough to be generally ignored. It is rare to find these as they are normally consumed when a Prinny explodes.
Prinny Pack: A very limited Bag of Holding outside of the hands of a Prinny. Can hold three inventory slots of items but is small enough to be worn on your belt. It is rare to find these as they are normally consumed when a Prinny explodes.
Can of Sardines: A Prinny’s favorite food! Give a Prinny one of these and they will gladly become your hireling. Prinny hirelings only have a morale of 4 unless thoroughly intimidated or paid with additional sardines.
